It’s time for each of us to experience the beauty of this messy life.
Day #13 of Sanity
Here is something that is rarely discussed. Life is for living, experimenting, creating and connecting deeply with other people, animals, plant life and everything that surrounds us. When you live fully, you can tap into the full range of human emotion from sadness to joy and from frustration to elation. It is part of the human condition to feel and to also be vulnerable at times. How else do we learn and grow? It’s insane to deny who we are.
Over the past few decades of business, there has been so much emphasis on cost cutting, efficiency and productivity that we have over-processed much of our creativity. We will most likely not achieve innovation if we cannot fail openly and try and try again.
What would happen if you remembered the playful seven or eight year old within you and re-discovered your passion for play, where you saw opportunity and possibility? And today, with all that incredible life experience that you bring, what if you said, life is messy, now what? What would you go out and create in the world and who would you create with?
- If life is messy, what is my opportunity?
- What does my playground look like?
- What does play mean to me in life and work?
- Where can I experiment?
- What’s the worst thing that can happen to me?
- What’s the best thing that can happen to me?
- Who do I choose?
