Letting Go Of Beliefs That No Longer Serve Us

It’s time to let go of what no longer serves us; only you know what you need to let go of at any moment.

“People have a hard time letting go of their suffering. Out of a fear of the unknown, they prefer suffering that is familiar.” Thich Nhat Hanh

Your daily dose of sanity

It’s time for each of us to start letting go of beliefs that no longer serve us.

Day #18 of Sanity

Too often we get stuck in what is familiar to us and we don’t always learn how to let go of what no longer serves us. It happens every day in people’s lives and in business. We continue on the same path as it feels like the right thing to do at the time.

In a world of uncertainty and constant change, many people like to stick to what is familiar and comfortable.

It is so easy to get stuck, It happens to all of us. No one taught is how to let go of what no longer serves us. Too often, for example, we remain loyal to others who are no longer loyal to us because that is how believe we should be.

It takes courage to look at different situations in our lives and  ask yourself:

  • What is my comfort zone? What makes me uncomfortable?
  • What am I hanging on to?
  • Is there anything I can let go?
  • What does ‘letting go”mean to me?
  • If I let go of what no longer serves me, what would I be doing?
