Letting Go Of What Keeps You Stuck

#365DaysofSanity

It’s time to see what has a hold on us: a belief, a routine, a person, a story …”Throughout life, from childhood, from school until we die, we are taught to compare ourselves with another; yet when I compare myself with another I am destroying myself.” Jiddu Krishnamurti
Your daily dose of sanity

It’s time for each of us to really see what we are holding on to that keeps us stuck.

Day #54 of SanityIt’s time for a new conversation about healthy competition that lifts us up instead of the current need to crush someone and take them down. Maybe we’ve been to too many global sales meetings telling us to destroy the competition? All we need to be is #1. For what purpose and is it sustainable?

Life is a beautiful opportunity to connect and create.

Have you ever had someone visit your home and start comparing theirs to yours? Does it make you wonder what they may be thinking when they look at you? Are they comparing themselves to you and not present in your conversation?

How do you listen? Do you listen with your projections, through your projection, through your ambitions, desire, fears, anxieties, through hearing only what you want to hear, only what will be satisfactory, what will gratify, what will give comfort, what will for the moment alleviate your suffering? If you listen through the screen of your desires, then you obviously listen to your own voice.” Jiddu Krishnamurti

Ask yourself:

  • What do I value most about my current life?
  • What is missing? Why?
  • How do I close the gap?
  • Am I unconsciously or consciously competitive with others? Why?
  • What would help me get unstuck from needing to compare myself with others to find my own path?
  • Who are my unlikely partners (instead of competitors)?
  • What does healthy competition look like for me?
