It’s time for each of us to reclaim our voice.
Day #27 of SanityAs we grow up and get conditioned into society by the roles we play as adults, we forget how to play as we become more responsible. We forget to regularly make time to spend in nature, instead telling ourselves that is what vacations, retreats, and holidays are for.
We forget that our bodies simply need to move as we condition ourselves to see exercise as a chore. Many of us in the Western world have to drive somewhere just to go for a walk. We forget how important it is to have time to think, and to think more deeply than we are used to. We forget that children need free time to play and not be rushed from activity to activity.
Many of our institutions, systems, and ways of life are fragmented, broken, and endangering our future on Earth. An increasing number of people are reclaiming their voices, and more businesses are going to be impacted by customers, employees, and communities asking new questions about how business is done.
Compassion, empathy, and human understanding will all play a more significant role in the 21st century, as whole people demand to be heard and seen.
